I have wanted a motorcycle since I was a child. When I was finally going to get one in 2004 I got my M1 and then I started hearing of a lot of guys falling on gravel and oil in the street. I chickened out and bought a Infiniti G35 so I couldn't buy a bike. Then in 2007 6 months after paying off my G35, Can Am came out with the 3 wheeled motorcycle the Can Am Spyder. So I bought a 2008 GS, and have been riding it ever since. I love the Spyder especially for long trips because it has so much storage. But the more I ride Spyder the more I want to own a two wheeler also. I had heard about the VFR 1200 when it first came out in 2010, but never really thought about buying one. I recently really started looking at buy a Honda CBR 600. Then I remembered the VFR. I ended up going to a Honda dealer in Huntington Beach, CA because they had a VFR 1200 DCT on the show room floor. I sat on it and it felt great, I am 5'7 and my feet fit firmly on the ground, no tip toeing. They didn't want to let me test ride it at first because all my riding time has been on Spyder, but when they saw the Spyder I ride, they said ok. I think they really wanted me to buy it and knew I had good gredit by the looks of my custom Spyder. I fell in love with VFR that day, and can't wait until I get my VFR. Unfortunately I need to pay off some bills before I can get the VFR, but I am pretty sure I can make my dream of owning a VFR come true before the end of the year. I live in the LA County area, so I will be interested in riding with some other VFR owners soon. I am glad I found this forum, it has made me want to own a VFR even more. Nikki
Welcome to the forum. How about some pics of your Spyder. You mentioned that you have done some distance rides. What kind of destinations have you been to? John
