I'm looking at a 1986 VFR700 with 20K miles. On condition scale 1-10, I'd give it an 8 for a few minor blemishes. Mechanically it sounds and runs perfect. Only non-stock parts is exhaust and heated grips. Shop was asking 2600 got them to 2300 and they provide a full 30 day warranty and say they stand behind what they sell. They've sold this bike twice over the last 20 years. Last guy had it for 10 and just wanted a newer bike.

I love the bike and I'm not overly concerned with the price being perfect but if I don't want to overpay.

Your thoughts would be much appreciated!!!

Currently I have 3 Triumphs, 1 Ducati and 1 Honda dirtbike. I'm looking to being part of the Honda VFR gang.

    Thanks!!!

Seems like a good deal to me, but just another toy if you have other bikes to ride. Lettus know how it compares.

Dude, in MY opinion, you can't beat the looks of an '86/'87. The price is in line with what I just paid (private sale) and I don't regret one penny. Working on bringing the suspension up to standard but other than that she's a beauty and a runner.

You cant go wrong there . I owned one for 17 years and 52,000 miles before I traded it in for a GSXR 750 in 2004. I never had any problems with it but Im a preventive maintenance freak. I regret ever letting it go. I even looked up the guy the dealership sold it to about 4 years ago and he wouldnt sell it back to me for a profit. He takes excellent care of it as I did. Im hoping he will one day let me buy it back. Good luck.
