    Hey guys,
Need some advice / opinion on this:

Guide, Ring Key 17 on microfiche 23820-438-003

Ring, Damper Key 18 on microfiche 23821-MB2-00

Don't know if these parts are worn out or not. Clymer refers to key 17 as being an "O" ring, Honda calls it a Guide. Based on what you see in the pictures, should I not worry about it, try to find replacements (Ha!), leave off, etc.

    Appreciate your earliest advice.

Appears that the inner ring has alot of clearance inside the guide, on picture 5. Really don't know how this supposed to be, hence requesting advice
    Thanks in advance
    Tom

Just put it back on. No need to get a new one. It's just a guide and helps feed the chain thru incase it breaks. Instead of cobbling up at the countershaft. You can run without it also if you want. I still have mine on, just because.

I believe it was there only to quiet some chain noise. Chuck it, not needed. You will have less rotating mass and gain approximately .00032 horsepower!!!
