    I'm looking to buy a VFR1200 so here's the first of my dumb questions . . .

Is the battery access for the VFR1200F hard, easy, or somewhere in between? Does it come with a port to plug in a battery tender? If no, is the battery access easy so that I can attach a battery tender pigtail myself? Is the battery access the same for the DCT model?

I've had bikes with very easy access (Harley Softails) and I've had bikes with damn near impossible battery access (BMW R1100S) so I'm just curious where the VFR1200 lies.

I can relate; to attach a SAE plug to my 2007 I had to splice in a pigtail because I couldn't fit the battery cover back on over the fuse.

It's nice to be able to jump a bike easily. My H-D Softails and many of my Japanese bikes were extremely easy. My BMW R1100S had a factory installed port to plug in a battery tender but in order to jump the bike I had to remove the side cover and fashion a "jump plug" of my own with 10- or 8-gauge wire.

Is the seat easily removed on the VFR1200?

The battery is very, very easy to get to on the 1200. A key goes in the back directly above the tail-light, and that pops off the seat. ...the battery is right under the seat, unobstructed.

It does not come with any attachments to the battery, but there is plenty of room under the seat to add a fusebox (I did).

In this picture you can see my fusebox, and the battery just off the edge of the frame to the left.
