    Hello,
New (old member) here. I became a member here a couple years ago but have not been active much at all. (no offense) I don't own a VFR so I just stayed in the shadows. I have searched the World Wide Web and searched here on the site looking for an answer to this question....
What was the original or average sticker price for a new 2000 model VFR? If color makes a difference...a yellow one.
My days of not owning a VFR may change very, very soon. I was wanting a comparason of price new vs age/mileage and a current asking price from a seller. I've checked the KBB and NADA but I would rather have your (youse guys) knowledge and input of this.
    Thanks for your time,
    Jeffrey

This is from the May '98 Cycle World review when the 5th gen was released - the MSRP was $9,499. It's a bit hard to read - sorry for the small image - if you open it and click on it a second time it's a bit larger. Somewhere I recall seeing the 2002 MSRP for the non-ABS version was $9,999 - so somewhere in that $500 range is a good guess for the Y2K model when new.

I have a yellow 2000 and I paid $3500. Mine came with gen-mar risers, petal front rotors, clear front signals, targa screen, micron high pipe, undertail, tank bra, new rear tire and clear tail light conversion. It had 65k miles on it. I let my boss take her for a spin and he later bought a yellow bike with a Corbin saddle, solo cowl and 12k miles for $3200. The $3000 - $3500 price range Long gave you is spot on.

I found a Sargent seat on Craigslist for $200 and have fabbed up my own Spiegler style superbar conversion. This style of bar setup is CHOICE!:funky:

I bought mine 3 months ago, a yellow 2000 model with an aftermarket pipe and a Sargent seat. The owner wanted $3400, I talked him down to $2800. It's got 33,000 miles and has been down on both sides, mild fairing scuffs.

Note aside: After owning 3 Corbin seats, I'm loving the Sargent!! It's loads better!

I just picked up my '00 Yellow this weekend. $2800. 34K on the clock, tires nearly new, Mobil 4T and filter, XM radio ( For sale obo BTW ), Axio tank bag, Cortech tail bag, fender eliminator, 12v power socket, small tank dent that a bra will be covering. Pretty happy so far, I kinda miss my '03 Concours that I rudely threw on the pavement at 55 mph two weeks before Christmas, but I sure I grow to love this one as much as I have my other rides.

Your lucky, vfrs and most other bikes in general are cheap in the usa vs canada. I just paid 4495 for an 00 about the same mileage with an exhaust and solo cowl :(

I had been looking for a while and when the prices went down for the winter I made an offer on a bike that had been posted at $6500 for 2 weeks. He needed to sell it and I got it for what I offered. I think I got a really good deal on it.
