    1999 Honda VFR

Painted frame, radiators and front forks black.
Painted the bike a bright white.
    Gave lights a slight tint.
    Removed center stand.
    Removed undertail.
Stainless steel exhaust with header wrap.

Im not happy with how the exhaust looks. I think it looks disproportionally small for the bike.
I still need to build mounts for the battery, computer and license plate. And then a cover for road grime and water.

    Heres a video for exhaust note;

Also I know it's not a honda but I just finished the first part of a restoration.

    1973 Moto Guzzi v7 Sport

My grandfather bought this brand new in 73. The bike had around 90,000 miles on it. It was laid over at 85MPH.

Frame is fixed and powder coated.
    Motor has been rebuilt.
It is to the point where is is drivable around the neighbor hood.
I still have a laundry list of stuff to do before its road worthy but I'm pretty happy all of the important stuff is in order and working well.

I was gonna say why take up valuable space with that goat in there. or is that a Grand
prix? Get rid of that shit. Seeing as you care new here, and we do like to welcome noobs, I will come and take that shit away for you.

I think you will come to regret removing the center stand. Don't throw it out. I think you will be putting it back on. If not, post up you have one. Someone here will probably take it off your hands.

What did you use to tint the headlight lenses? Can you give me a product name. I would like to darken mine a bit more that "slightly". I think my HID lights givens me the opportunity to get away with that. BTW.. ..white sux.

Nice man! I really like the white! Why did you remove the undertail? Is that actually a muffler? If so, does it actually muffle at all or does it sound the same as no muffler? Thanks!

Thanks it gets the job done!

    66 Le mans.

The only reason I can see the center stand being useful for is do maintenance/repairs and I'm willing to work around that. I always us the side stand when I'm riding. And I always keep all of the parts to the projects I have so I can pass it on to the next person.

For the tint I just mix a black base coat with clear and spray until I get the effect I'm looking for. I didn't want to go dark on this, just wanted a different shade (it's not very apparent in the pictures). And I'm going to buy a tinted windscreen, I just blacked out the one I have temporarily (to dark for my tastes).

Thanks :) Everything I own seems to end up white and black.

The undertail is way to bulky looking. I going to tuck the license plate and build a cover that you won't see.

The exhaust is just a piece of stainless I had my friend build for me real quick. No muffler but it does change the tone a little compared to no exhaust. I like the sound for around town but when I go on trips I think I'm going to have to have a spare muffler on hand.

Did a cut and buff on a test section to see what I'm working with. Came out pretty good. Very difficult to show results in white paint and the black spots are dust on my lens, I didn't notice until I got them on my computer.

Not really a problem where I'm at. The bike is loud but no louder than any of the hot rods running around. I do like the look of it but I think I need to bring it up higher to the fairing.. Ill have to photoshop a couple options.

Nice LeMans...there should be enough room in the trunk of that thing for both bikes. Anyway, I like the black/white contradiction. Ever thought about imaging the Australian panda bikes? You may have to find a carbon fiber exhaust somewhere.

Were you using a wide angle lens on the guzzi? It may be my eyes but the forks look bent. But that could be distortion on a wide angle lens. Nice work all the way around.

    Bill

Yeah goimg back and looking at the wall beside the hand saw, I can see its prolly just lens distortion.

I hate that exhaust. Hate it. - It looks like on of those crappy slip-on tips that Lord Humongous was trying to sell to the Hayabusa fraternity. It makes you look like someone who thinks louder = faster, like something poor White trash would do to a Harley.

A proper exhaust system looks nice and won't make people kick your bike over in a parking lot.

I would refuse to associate with anyone who did something so trashy and obnoxious to their bike.

I like the look of the pipe I just dont think I could tolerate the sound coming out of it. Maybe you could come up with someway. To stick a baffle in there and not see it. But I like the moto gp look. Good job on the rest of it as well.

I like the white VFR. White looks good on just about any bike. It is a truly safe color as the uninformed motorist often mistake a white bike for a cop. I love the Guzzi. Moto Guzzi and I go way back.
