Hope you get some decent weather coming down here. How many miles are on her? My move was 1350 miles, I did it in 19.5 hours with a Grand Marquis towing the VFR on a 4x8 utility trailor.

 

Hmmm....Looks familiar. Ride safe and don't get too depressed with that awful weather down there.

 

31,500 miles at the beginning of this journey as the odometer reads, had different sprockets on it for quite some time, true reading is less than 30k somewhere.

The winds were quite strong at times today. Crossing the Susquehanna river bridge was an experience.

 

Far out! Mine has around 77,000 now. The speedometer counts off of a plastic hexagonal button that goes over the counter sprocket nut, from there, the speedo drive goes into a little square. Changing sprockets should not really affect your miles accrued but I could be wrong.

I have a relative that lives up in Jupiter, its only about an hour or so from where I am in Broward County. Gona be away in IL all next week, coming home New Years Eve though, Keep in touch. Like I sed, me casa, tu casa...or at least my garage. Anyone riding a Gen 3 bike from good old NJ to south FL can use my air lift table and spanners any time :thumbsup:

I was just in Jacksonville for the Jaguars/Patriots (winner) game. Drove for a stretch on I-95 too. Just got home a couple of hours ago. Dads & Sons trip to an NFL game! :biggrin:

Had to stop for mother Honda. Now I'm tempted to bring the bike right into the hotel room.

 

I have seen some pictures here showing it can be done. I can certainly understand why you might want to do so - not having to unpack it all the way and security.

I'm lucky to have friends from work up north to hang with. Had some excellent food and good times today. Miss the family but that's to be expected. I appreciate the support from vfrw.

 

I'm not an aggressive rider, but when I got into Florida, there was a pack of cars I drafted riding between 90-105 mph for about 20-30 minutes. Probably the most I've ever enjoyed my vfr. Somehow, on pure intuition, I chose to slow up randomly and over the crest of a bridge was a Leo. I felt joy and did a mini celebration as I cruised past at human speed.

I'm only 5 months late commenting on this, but..... Sorry I couldn't meet up with you when you passed through Florence, SC. My father-in-law passed away unexpectedly a few days prior to your arrival and I was in Greensboro, NC when you texted me. Not sure if you have made the return trip yet, but if not text me and I'll try to meet up with you this time when you are heading back north.
