My Bike is Losing power

    Hey my Honda VFR 400Z is losing power from 2nd gear go up

    as the gear increase it slows down

    no problems starting


    so is it a Gas Or spark Plug Problem

    Really? where you at? Sounds like a fuel thing to me, look at all fuel lines filters and valves, even inside the tank for crud. But with out actually riding it, be hard to say for sure. need a bit of history too, has it been sitting? Hey here's an idea, sell me your bike? then I'll fix it. :) by looking at the photo must be a pre 88? carbs? looking at the wheels my guess is 84 - 87?

    you may find this a bit wild, but ive seen leaky or cracked CV diaphrams cause similar problems, this causes the slide to not open or open enough under load.(the rubber diaphram connected to the slide in each carb) and i second the fact that its a cool bike!!!

    Change the plugs and see what happens. It could be a fouled plug.

    there was something like sand in the fuel lines

    dont ask how that happen

    Can you post some more pics of your bike? That is the look I wanted with mine. But I couldn't get it together in my head. You seemed to have the same idea sooner and got it pulled off nicely.
