It's been over a year and 5k miles and the Interceptor has run flawless, I've only done oil changes since, not even a chain adj thank's to the EK ZZZ, really a reliable and fun bike. Here's start up vid. still quieter than I'd like even after internal baffle mods but it runs great. MPG has been 54 to 55 on the hwy and no oil consumption.

Nice rebuild, my 750 #2 was starting to get there before the wreck.
55mpg, man I have not gotten close to those numbers with my 750's, that's very good gas mileage.

One of the write ups in a old cycle magazine said 54 mpg but I was still surprised when I checked mpg after a couple road trips. My DRZ400E is getting 60 mpg 60/40 on/off road with taller street gearing but you wouldn't want to go on any trip with it...except off road.

I did the Front Fender red but when I put it together I didn't like it, I trimmed off the Honda Dream look and did it blue.
Lots of info and help on this site, spend some time to make sure the carbs are done right and they run nice, my VFR has been 100% reliable. Just waiting for access to the Machine shop to install my new white... wider wheels w/radials.

Sorry I did not read your later posts.
Where did you get those top fairing/mirror mounts from? they have to be better than the originals.

They're lower, wider, lighter...2001-2003 Suzuki GSXR 600 750 1000 Aftermarket Mirrors Ebay $25, they must be modified to work. You remove glass with a suction cup and heatgun, swap the stems L to RT and enlarge the pivot hole to get the correct adj angle. They work great and got rid of that dorkey look.

Looks great, will look even better with the white wheels. F2 wheels I assume? Fender looks out of place to me being blue but its your bike. Nice job on trimming it down though. My 2nd gen has been all over this state, runs like a top every time. Great bikes.

I have a brand new (NOS) Hurricane 17 front wheel direct fit uses my rotors\ and a CBR1000F 17X5.5 rear that I have to machine a couple parts to fit it, it uses my stock rear rotor and sprocket.
I went with the Honda update on the fender, the 6th gen they did blue.

I'm just about to try these aftermarket GSXR mirrors, but I had a question. Since I use a motorcycle cover on my bike and the mirrors get touched and shoved around lightly when putting it on and off, do your new mirrors stay really tight like the factory ones?

Some aftermarket mirrors I've seen in the past had problems as far as staying tight. They had no way to adjust the tension.

    Thanks,
    Jason

Hi, no they don't stay tight. But when I had them apart to switch the arms rt to left and enlarge the pivot hole I did add a washer and tighten the spring tighter. So they're better now. I all so tinted the glass blue while out, really nice at night.

Okay, so behind the glass you have a springloaded ball and socket setup, right?

I could probably tweak it to make it tighter.

They sure look good. I might see about painting them, too. Gloss black would look great. :)

Yes a ball type spring loaded pivot. The krylon fusion paint works good on plastic.
