    Hi!

Every time I run my bike and put in the 1st gear for the 1st time after startup it "clonks" and the bike jumps a tiny bit forward.
(Though I have been running it at idle for a few minutes..)

This gets better after a while of riding, running really smooth later on...

Not a huge problem, though annoying. Has this anything to do with what oil quality I use or is it a construction matter?
My theory is that the oil isn't lubricating the gearbox enough until I start riding?!? Oil recommendations greatly appreciated, thinkin of Castrol GTX Magnatec 5W-40...dont know whats in it today...

    Cheers

    Gear Clonk

The clonk is due to the clutch plates sticking. Put the bike in gear pull in the clutch and rock the bike forwards and backwards till the clutch frees then start the bike. If you carry on you@ll kill the starter clutch ( don't ask how i know this)

    Amsoil or Repsol

Try Amsoil or Repsol. You will notice improvement with this or any synthetic oil.:peace:
