I believe Jamie charges $395, but I'll let him respond. I know revalving the stock shock is $150.

I have a lot of other reasons to sell this bike besides the rear shock. The hardest one to fix is the lack of power. 100 horse just isn't cutting it anymore. The bike feels slow to me. I want to move up to the 150+HP range. Maybe a ZX-11, Blackbird or Hayabusa.

Smaller things can be fixed without too much money, you can swap to 17" wheels, better front fork and better rear shock, but your just not gonna get big power from a 700 unless you add a turbo or supercharger. That's when things get too expensive. You could spend $4k-$5k in upgrades, not including the transmission work, plastic repair and paint I need, or go buy a nice ZX-11 for $3k.

Uhhhh....sure. 50 more horses, that's what I'm missing in life. What?!! Your current ride can't possibly provide what you're after. Your only option is to move on. 100 hp, an awesome classic look and working toward decent handling meets my needs in the fast (enough) lane. Cheers!

We don't have any salt flats in Southern Ontario and the White Sands Missile Range is a bit of a hike so my needs for one of those machines is a bit limited. At about 4 lbs per pony something like a daily dose of Busa is probably the best medication for your condition. I wish you well.

Let me correct myself, not speed junkie, more like power junkie.

It's not like your riding a little 250cc. You like power, too. We all do. I just need a little more than most folks. That's all.

I hope I don't end up feeling a need for a turbo Busa. Those are big money. :)

The 929 conversion only works on the newer models. For your bike I have something different that starts with a CBR shock that has the reservoir attached with a hose. The modifications to make it work on your VFR700 are more extensive so the price is a bit higher. Shoot me an email for more information.

There is an option to revalve your OEM shock. Many people do not realize this is possible. Again, shoot me an email I can give you the details on that.
