looks pretty good. reminds me of a spaceship. I was just telling my wife that if I ever got the 7th gen I'd want to paint it, but your option might be smarter...

I think a lot of us are wondering what it cost... :)

And as far as Frankenstorm Sandy - No need to worry about having leaves on the trees anymore. Actually, just no need to worry about having trees!

I just emailed a local shop in my area about a ballpark figure. If we don't hear back from strada then I'll post what they say on here.

I hope he's ok after Sandy blew through.

    Hi Guys,
it cost around $800 bucks. but if you are really handly you can do it yourself for a lot lot less. very slow time consuming....partucularly lining up the pattern from top to bottom panels.

Looks Good. CF is definitely shows off the lines of the bike better than plain black. Holds up super well too. Been on since May and no problems whatsoever.

Did mine myself and she was a lot of trial and error and frustration when learning the ins and out of wrapping. Now she would be easy to do again though. Cost about 100 bucks said and done. The upper tank fairings were absolutely the hardest due to the hump going down into a dip. Hard to keep the material rationed correctly so as to not have too tight or too loose in spots. Dry application worked better than wet by far.

Hey ducc, you just revived a two-year old thread! Okay by me, I don't remember having seen it when it first was posted. When I read his post that he couldn't take pics because he was getting ready for "a little storm named Sandy" I was confused for a second, then saw the dates of the posts. Wow, who could have predicted the amount of devastation that "little storm" would cause.

Back on topic, I appreciate that it's different and I go back and forth on whether I like it. I think I do. Haha.

A friend of mine did a similar thing to a Ducati Diavel and it also came out very nice, but I am wondering how well the CF material will hold up to the weather. I put a lot of miles on my bikes and many of them are in crummy weather.
I hope Strada is still around and can comment on how well it has held up.

Good luck with doing it yourself. I'm not very patient so thought it best that a professional would do it. they had to redo a few areas but were good about doing it.
After fighting with Honda about stumbling issue….they put in a new ECU, I finally decided I just could not get comfortable…even with all the changes made.
Traded in for a Moto Guzzi Nroge. no where near a quick but very good for long distance. Some have notice that the the bike was moved on Ebay for $7400.
Based on what I did to the bike….they should enjoy the bike for a long time…….We're all built differently!
This has been a good site and helped me a lot…enjoy your bikes

Does anyone have real information on how the wrap material holds up to gasoline/ethanol, brake fluid, etc.?

I typically paint my own bikes and the material costs for high quality two part paint products is fairly expensive. $200 plus for paint and clear enough for a bike. That does not include primer and prep time. But at the end I know that the paint products I use are able to hold up to gasoline/ethanol, brake fluid, etc.?

If the wrap products can withstand the gasoline/ethanol, brake fluid, etc. the $100 cost for the material is cheap. Then it is just learning the process and purchasing some good squeegee tools and a heat gun.

As to question above: I spilled gas on the tank several time with no ill effects to the carbon finish. I had a progressional put it on so if there was a problem..they would fix it.
As FYI my bike is at a dealer in NH. my dealer sold to them. I see it's still for sale on ebay……too bad as it's a great bike as I had worked out all the bugs with the bike.
someone could pick up a great deal. I traded it in only because it was not possible to get comfortable…had prostate surgery.
I have nothing to do with this dealer so if you have questions you can ask me through this site. site was always helpful to me
