" Mad Kiwi " isn't that tautology ? Welcome to VFRWorld, I came from a SV650S with a Stainless Yoshi to a VFR in early '04, was a great little bike with a fantastic sound, luckly the VFRs V4 also sounds brilliant and is much much better to ride distance on.
how easy are these to ride been on the an650 for the last little while hope i havent bitten off too much.
Welcome - If it is a VFR it is a Great bike. I have a 2k Gen 5 VFR and an 05 6th Gen VFR. I like them both but, I favor the 5th Gen slightly more and would sell the 05 6th Gen for a low mileage 2k or 2001 5th Gen VFR. If you are shopping for a used VFR IMHO be patient and look for a 5th Gen with low mileage - get a new battery and upgraded OEM rectifier, dbl bubble windscreen, a slip-on pipe of your choice and a power commander. I would also consider getting the suspension setup for your weight and riding style. I have not done it yet but a lot of guys on the Forum buy a used Honda 929 shock and get it rebuilt and a set of racetech springs and new fork oil. Check with Racetech for the suspension work.
