Today I purchased my first bike, and thanks to all the wonderful people on here, was able to make a wonderfully informed decision to purchase an '87 VFR 700 F2!! I took it for a little test ride and immediately fell in love!!! The previous owner stripped it down and rebuilt anything that needed work so fortunately, I just get to reap the benefits! The bike also came with loads of spare parts, and being the greenhorn that I am... they all look like shiny whatsamabobbers .. In other words, there will probably be future posts seeking information on what all I actually have!

    And for proof:

Wow, it's your first post and you included a picture of your bike. That is extremely rare for a newbie. The 2nd Gen is a great bike because it truly corrected the Gen 1 oiling problems. It looks stock and appears to be in great shape. Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

Now. All you have to do is wait until next May before you can ride the thing. But you will be OK. There is prozac to help you through the winter. Welcome to the site and congrats on your new aquisition.

Nice looking scooter VT -- ya , what Randy said, when the weather allows it----ride that puppy like you stole it --- hopefully you'll have your motorcycle license by then. Huh:thumb:

First- Thanks for the welcomes! Second- I plan on taking full advantage of the 2 riding days Vermont gets all year... duccmann already got the license through MSF so the only thing keeping me off it is the cool temps!

--I'll make sure to leave out pictures in future posts so you all have something to do!

Welcome. Always nice to see some of the older bikes in good condition being appreciated by their new owners.
