cross-posting to this section, since I know this is where the early-gen aficionados hang out, and the Ad section seems broken (I can't edit any description text).

I picked up a bike from an old coworker last summer, it was destined for the salvage yard, since it no longer started. Turned out to just need a battery. I've finally gotten it up and running, and swapped tires over to it that while have no treadlife left, at least aren't 8yo hard rubber.

It was a salvage bike back in the early 90s, my friend put about 50K miles on it commuting, and it's been more or less parked since '99, ridden occasionally when his other bikes were in the shop.

It's an F2, at least from bodywork and gauges, I haven't verified that the VIN is an F2 VIN.

    - stainless steel front brake lines
    - center stand
    - original exhaust
    - original emissions equipment for a california bike
    - new battery
    - starts well, idles well, revs freely

    but...

    - the pics show the state of the bodywork (rough)
    - needs new tires
    - needs new wheel bearings (as I found when I swapped the tires)
    - rear valve cover has a slow leak

    $700, or any reasonable offer.
