    Hi there.

i have taken on a quite big project that is based on the 1986 vfr750.
a friend of mine gave me a frame and and engine that he had planned to build a supermoto of . but he got tired of the project and it was just standing there, so he asked if i wanted to take over. project stupidity

the goal is to have the bike raceready at a curbweight of 125kg , i think i will manage this by using very much leightweight materials, i have lightened the bottom of the airbox with 600 grams =) not much but in the end all the small weightsaves i can make will make me reach my goal =)

the problem i have is that i need to know moore about the weight on the certain parts of the frame. i know that the frame weighs in at 14 kg , but i don't have the subframe and i don't have the swingarm,

and i really need to know the weight of the subframe and the swingarm so that when i buy a new swingarm and build a new subframe don't get parts that are heavier than the original .

one more thing that i have thought of is the gearbox, gearboxes are heavy and i will only need five gears on the track. does anybody know how much the gears weigh ?

The gearbox is built into the case with the engine--it is not a separate unit.
