Considering selling or parting out my 1990 3rd gen. I'm aware of the rarity of plastics etc, would it be more profitable to part it vs. Sell for the market value?

Mine has 31k and in excellent shape overall. Have all plastics / body pieces except solo seat cowl. I would also consider selling only the body pieces / plastics and keeping the core for a future project.

It's not that I don't love or want to keep it, hurricane killed my work year and as of now I have no job until April 13. Evaluation of assets underway.

Private email is pgafuture@gmail.com if anyone cares to discuss privately. Mike.

Based on my experience most 3rd Gens in the condition you described usually bring between $2400 and $2800 whole. If you decide to sell the plastics only I would expect you to get between $1200 and $1500. With winter just around the corner there will be limited number of buyers looking to buy a complete bike unless you offer a really good deal. The parts alone should be easy to sell since they are pretty rare and lots of people take on projects/repairs over the cold winter months.

I've broken down what each part should bring on Ebay below.

$150-225 for each of the mid panels (2)
$150-225 for each of the upper cowls (2)
$100-150 for each of the lower cowls (2)
$125-150 for each of the rear side panels (2)
$75-125 for the front half cowl (in front of the headers)
$25-40 for each of the lower metal covers (2)
    $20-30 for the T-Shaped headlight cowl (1)
$20-30 for the tail cowl (1)
$10-20 for each turn signal lens (4)
    $50-75 for the Windscreen

Sorry to hear that you are being impacted so much by the hurricane. My folks still live down the shore and I am very grateful that they made it through the storm in one piece. Hope your family and friends are ok.

Sell the bike--if you must--whole. Don't count on fabbing up or finding bodywork later as it takes too long and the result isn't often pleasing. Without the plastic the bike looks terirble like a poorly-assembled erector set and is most aesthetically unpleasant.

I'd sell it whole for 3,000.

I have the stand cover, yes. I'm trying to make it through this without selling it. If I do, it's got to be worth it. 2,000 is what I'm thinking for everything. 3,000 for the whole bike.

    Hi
Parts i need are as follows

The black plastic opposite side to the fuse box, on the right the fuse bos is under it, its the one on the left i need. Its just over a foot long??

The fairing/panal that covers the radiator facing forward, slots in some way betwween the fairings.

The two/one furthest back fairing at the bottom nearly directly under the back break and gear change.

Have you any, perhaps all of these?

If you message me a price we can talk
