    Good day all,
first post (please be gentle :). My Vfr was hit while parked in front of my office (along with another bike). Driver tried to parallel park, hit the first bike, pushed it into mine, then pushed us both into another car. Thankfully some witnesses saw and took pictures and waited around for someone to come. Driver parked in the hole she made, then walked away. When confronted by the witnesses she said she was in a hurry and couldn't wait around.

In the end, after days of reports to police/insurance, my insurance calls and says "Take you bike to your mechanic, we will waive the $500.00 deductible, get her fixed :)"

My question to you all is "What exhaust would you recommend to replace the factory that is bent?"

That sucks. Same thing happened to my CB1, lady at my worked backed over mine when I parked in "her" spot.
She tried to cover it up she propped my bike back up and didn't leave her insurnace info. I had to file a police report, and I'm glad I did because she didn't want to give me her insurance info. The whole situation was a PITA. My condolences.

I would be in jail. That being said I would do Stain-tunes to do it again.

You have the right attitude about it!

    I'm partial to Two Brothers.

Others really like Leo Vince, Remus, Scorpion, Delkivic, Staintune... its hard to make the 6th gen V-4 sound bad. So, I guess its up to what you want to pay and what you can find on sale.

Leo or Staintunes. I'd say Laser if not for the fitment issues and customer support issues one or two of us have had.

I would be glad to send beer and shipping money your way for the heat shields off your factory exhaust before they go in the trash. Namely the right side is the one I need if it's not damaged.

Thanks for including pics of the incident. That's f'n amazing! Cannot even fathom what goes on through some people's heads.

I'll speak to my mechanic when he starts to pull the busted parts off. I'm in Toronto Canada. I'll see what I can do with the old parts :)

No need to send beer :) We have to beer plants right here in Toronto :)

Staintunes are the best sounding to me and I've heard lots of different exhausts on just about every generation of VFR there is.

I can unhesitatingly recommend Two Bros. I would buy the exact same system (M2 V.A.L.E.) again. (Use headphones to hear what it really sounds like.)

The insurance sent out an adjuster to my house before I took my bike to the mechanics to get fixed. He looked at my bike and printed out an estimate which I took to my mechanic's place to have my bike fixed. Mechanic looks at the estimate and said "Send the adjuster here, this is bullsh!t" apparently too low and didn't take into account the mechanical damage, just the cosmetic. Called insurance, had the adjuster go to the shop and look at the bike with the mechanic, quote went up by 2/3.

Moral of the story: Have the insurance adjuster and your mechanic look at the bike together, it will save time and make sure everything that needs to be fixed is, and that insurance will approve. :)

Insurance adjusters are supposed to tell you that the initial estimate is intended to be mutable, and that it can and will be adjusted up once the shop mechanic has a look at it. Sheisty companies like the one you were dealing with will try to gloss over this, but they'll never press the issue against the mechanic because they cannot. Good companies, like the one I recently dealt with in a similar situation, will tell you point blank "This amount can be increased if the shop finds something".

Way to go putting it to them though. You can rest assured that woman will be paying a higher insurance premium for about a decade.

That really sucks, I hope it's better than before once it's fixed. At least you get a new exhaust out or it.
Like silverbullet123 said, maybe we could go for a ride when it's all done. Im in Guelph but working in MIssissauga and Ill be riding the bike to work come springtime.

JON, sorry about the nim rod hitting your bike. So it go's to show you with the adjuster, squeaky wheel gets the grease. Heard on the news this mourning some where a lady(wouldn't you know it) was in such a rush that instead of waiting for a school bus she went around it up on the side walk with her car. F++KING woman drivers.
