i need a bit of info.

Hi guys.
I need a little info. Does anybody know if a 1986 VFR700 fuel tank will fit perfectly on a 1989 vfr750.as I need a tank & I've Got the offer of one.I think it will but I just want to be sure before I buy it grommets thousands of miles away.please help me if you can.

 

Go to someplace like BikeBandit.com and check the part numbers if they go back that far.

 

You know that we in the USA never got VFRs in '89, but i believe the 2 tanks are interchangable.

Tank will fit but fuel sensor is different.
86-87 has a stick sensor wheras the 88-89 uses a float.
Not sure if the sensors can be swapped over though
