    Hi all,

Just got a great deal on an 07 VFR 800 today. Had a ride, made a deposit and pick up Monday. Will be my 4th vfr, ive had 2 400s and an 800 about 8 years ago. The one I got today was 4km from home here in Christchurch. I currently have an 05 ducati multistrada (it was cheap ok!). I saw the vfr advertised locally and thought it might be worth a look. One test ride later all the memories from my last bike came flooding back, the smooth power delivery, great ergos and wonderful handling. I have a nice commute lined up twice a week over summer to akaroa, one of the great rides of the area. Would have loved panniers but maybe I can find some here and get them shipped.

One of the great solo adventures of my life was my last Vfr800, a year 2000 I bought in Calgary, Canada in 2005 and rode down thru the US, into Mexico and back up to L.A. where I shipped it back here. Sadly I went off to work in Australia so sold it but looking forward to the next gen and the vtec!

Ps; anyone want an ugly Italian bike that looks like it was designed by homer Simpson and sounds like someone beating a steel drum of loose nuts?

    ***Update***

Picked up the bike and rode to work today (the long way). Thanks for the welcome and see you all on the forums..

Imo you need to stencil the NZ flag onto your RWB '07, just to put it in context. That's assuming, of course, that this isn't all a hoax, seeing as how there are no pictures!!

Speaking of loose nutz, welcome to this den of insanity and loose screws. Many here are old and rattle around a bit too. I now wished I had bought the hard cases when I got mine too but what the hell. Now I am in the market for some after markets. But a picture is worth everyone's word.

    Weird can..

Ha! Here are a couple of pics oh ye of little faith! Notice the strangest can on a VFR I have ever seen, very short and very fat. I can't think what it could be from (maybe it's an old baked bean tin). The oem pipes were back on when I test rode it but he had these pics on the auction site which may explain why there wasn't that much interest!! I get the fatty pipe too, could be a laugh.. Pick up in 12 hours, might have trouble sleeping tonight... 233969210.jpg ross1.jpg

We didn't even get the 25th anniversary model colour released here  In my more lucid moments I seriously have considered going back over there just to get one because I really like that colour scheme (do the whole trip and ship again). But things are all different now, child, bills, career etc.. Maybe one day!
