The service manual doesn't really speak on this topic. There appears to be a knob on the right hand side of the bike to make this adjustment?

Does anyone know if a good reference on how to adjust this? I bought the bike from a guy much lighter than myself, so I would like a little more stiffness if possible in the shock.

Is there a tutorial out there for the VFR?

    Thanks

Page 3-19 in the FSM. If you look closely on top of the valve, you'll see a pink dot (My bike was really dirty so you might have to wipe it off). Anyways, match the position of the dot with the sticker on the radiator fuel reserve to get the factory settings. Adjust accordingly to what is most comfortable to you.

Thanks! I appreciate the input. Am I correct that I can view the adjuster from the right side of the bike? Isnt the coolant reserve on the left side?

No, its on the left, as it shows in the manual... Do you have the Factory Service Manual? The coolant reserve is also on the left.
