Hey everyone!!!New kid on the block here looking for a bit of advice!!I have a Gen 5 special that I'm building, fireblade front end,SP 1 calipers etc etc,and I want to change the original 3 pot rr caliper for something a bit more conventional, like the rr caliper off a Gen 4 for example!Does anybody know if its a straight enough swap or will I need the Gen 4 caliper mount also!I greatly appreciate and advice or recommends!!!

I hear if you use a 14mm master cylinder and bridge the third caliper piston, it works very well. No need to change it to anything else.

Knighthawk,---- I assume you are talking the rear caliper. It's much simpler to keep the stocker and bridge the 3 pistons together and like rmcdougal said, go with a 14mm master cylinder. RC51, F4i and several other Honda sport bikes are using 14s. Check my brake link below on a "how to" in detail. It works very well.

    Good luck

I used a double banjo bolt with a F4i master and hooked up both r brake lines to the original caliper. Seems to work just fine.
