Greetings all, I am new to the VFR scene. I recently picked up a beat-on 1986 VF500 Interceptor with a bunch of broken plastic, leaking carbs and some PO "modifications" for the princely sum of $600. I have already had the carbs out for cleaning and purchased a new fairing for it. Hopefully with some paint and bodywork I'll have it looking like new again soon.
I have to confess I have been more of a Kawasaki guy but I was introduced to street bikes by my best friend who bought a new VF500 back in '84. I have wanted one ever since. I have brought back a few other bikes from the dead but this is the most modern I have attempted.
I appreciate any help you all can give me,
    Jim

Thanks! It definitely looks much worse up close but it's mostly complete and starts up OK. I am going to have lots of questions.
