a little help

    Can any one tell me if 87 vfr 700 square guages will work on my 86 vfr 700 that has circle guages
    Will they plug into the existing harness or is it a waste of time . Thanks in advance for the help

    The front fairing support brackets are a bit different ('86/'87F2) so the gagues wouldn't bolt up right.

    For plugs, check the wiring diagrams for both bikes in the FSM.

    I know the mounts are differnt i have the 87 stay for the front fairing is y i was asking about the conections

    87 did not have the cam timing sensor, the 86 speedo will read half of actual RPM because half the signal is missing because of this.

    I have an 86 with the 86 speedo just no tack or temp gauge or housing for the gauges . I have the front stay off an 87 and front fairing im sure i can fab a bracket to make the 86 gauges bolt on i just havent found those parts yet but i know were an 87cluster is thats y i was asking
