I also have an 07 rwb, mine starts easily, idles smoothly and warms up quickly (southern California though); and the Two Brothers exhaust always sounds awsome! Your cold enrichment circuit must not be working but you'll need one of the more tech savvy members to steer you to the fix. Best of luck.

Sounds like you've got a bad Fast Idle Wax Unit. Easy fix. 2-3 beers tops. The bike should idle at 2000-3000 RPM till it warms up. It isn't something that is adjustable and it something that is controlled by coolant temperature automatically.

The bike starts right up with no problems just doesn't fast idle till its almost to cold to even ride!!
Plus the motor sounds like its fighting itself to run!!
How often does the wax unit fail? I talked to the dealer and they told me they never fail!!(but they don't have much experiance with vfrs)

It isn't super common, but certainly not unheard of. It is one of those things that just happens, like your alternator or thermostat going out.
