    Evening all,

My fairings on my baby is beat up. I've been looking at out on ebay and craigslist for replacements but it's challenging. On ebay, there's aftermarket fairings for the 400's and I am curious if it's possible to install those on my current bike.

Any thoughts or recommendations would help. Thanks.

You have two options for aftermarket fairings. Airtech Streamlining sells unfinished kits but they are mediocre quality and don't have the mounting points drilled so you'll need to have a pro install and paint them unless you have the skills to do it yourself. The other option is to buy from Thurn Motorsports in Germany. Quality of the Thurn kit is much better but they are expensive and will need to be shipped from Germany so it won't be cheap. How is the condition of the bike mechanically? You obviously don't want to spend $1000+ dollars to fix up a 20+ year old bike that is only worth $2000 or more. If you plan on keeping the bike for a long time you might want to consider looking for a cheap high mileage parts bike that you can take parts from and sell any extras to recoup some of your money.

The 400 fairings are smaller.. Other options.. fix what you have or look around for one of the Chinese made kits.

Also, poly26.com sells some. From Italty, but they look nice.
