Ok, just got bike back from dealer, had to have the wiring harness recall done. as I picked it up I noticed and the shop said that the abs light would not go off. I told them before I brought it in the light would go off after I started riding it. the shop said they test road the bike twice to make sure everthing was fine and they said the light would stay on.. I had the plugs replaced aswell. could they have unpluged something or is the wiring harness for the ABS bikes diff. then the one without ABS? they took the body work, tank, air box off. what connections should I look at? thanks for any help..

Bring the bike back and have them look at. Is the abs light blinking?

ok, Im taking the bike in next week for them to look at it. I tried to do the code retrieval procedure and nothing worked. I pulled both fuses like the manual said, turned on the key and waited 5 seconds and the light was supost to turn off, but it just stayed on? am I doing it right??

ok, the dealer said the reason the abs light will not go off is because when I put the tire back on I got the spacers backwards and the gap is to far so the ABS will not see the wheel move ? Ill check that out when I get home, but I swear I put the spacers back in the way they came off?? and he said the reason I couldn't get the abs to read any error was because it didn't have any.

That is impossible to put on the spacer to the wrong side. This will cause the disk to warp and cannot install the brake caliper back on. It does work before you drop off at the dealer so why not now.... Does not make any scense.

IIRC, the light is supposed to stay on till the bike is going faster than 6 or 7 MPH, so that part was normal.

does anyone know how to test the abs sensors, I get electrical continuity through the harnes and the gap in the front seems a little off. Is there a way to move the sensor closer to the wheel how can it be off??
