Is the exhaust system still avalable? if so do you know what brand it is? im looking for a used aftermarket exhaust becouse im not sure if im going to like the bike louder and i might just pull it right off.

the exhaust system... I thought it was aftermarket becouse i didnt see a cat. So does that mean the '89 doesnt have a cat in it, if so i might be still intersted so i can get the cat off my '01. Does it have the hole for the o2 sensor?

so would it just be just a weight loss or will it change the sound. the reason i ask is my comute starts at 6;30 am and the bike needs to be quit at idle in the driveway, but i want it to bark at top end when someone cuts me off and i fly by them.

I don't believe it changes the sound. I have no experience in the matter and have not read about anyone having done it and saying the sound was different.

You could start another thread and ask the peanut gallery or do a forum search. Of course you risk losing out the longer you wait.

I do, and it is in excellent, excellent shape (although the actual headlight itself has already been sold).

I was just over at ccrunner's house today and scored on some much needed VFR parts for my 5th gen bike (still need an upper cowl and right fairing if someone has one. F.Fenders also seem to be scarce). Great guy to deal with. He has a fun project there he is working on. Later,
