Hello all. I just put down a deposit on a 2000 VFR. Hope to be riding it in 2 weeks. My (wife's) current bike is a 2007 Ninja 650R with PC, Arrow Exhaust and K&N filter. I am hoping to ride to Daytona for the 2nd Weekend. Anyone else in South Florida?
Congrats and welcome aboard. The 2000 was the best model and color. Ever. This thread should now be closed since no more can be said. Hope all is well there Pompano. I won't be making it down, although I've spent a fair amount of time fishing by you!
I live close to Florida. Well same land mass anyways. Welcome. I used to agree with Pliskin becuase he was absolutely correct. "Was" is the operative word here. Then the year 2006 came and we were blessed with the Pearl White. Pure in its innocence and Lightening like in its speed. Much like me.. Cough. Ugh...fur ball..... But a common concensus is that you are a bogus infiltrater unless you can prove yourself worthy of this forum by postin up photos. Of your ride....the bike that is.
Pics will be up as soon as my name is on the tag Bike has been repainted blue, per my request. Not a fan of yellow vehicles.
When I was down that way in January, I was totally suprised at the lack of bikes I saw on the road there. I am sure I have seen almost as many on the roads here in January as I did see there. Maybe a little less but not a whole lot. I would think that Florida would be the mecca of riding states, just maybe lacking the twisties a bit.
Welcome aboar...BLUE?!!!!!!! I hated the yellow at first. I was gonna paint mine too. It grew on me though. Now I love it.
I think the reason for the lack of bikes down here is due to the disporportionate amount of cagers that should not be on the road. I have come across many people who tell me they don't ride anymore since they moved here for that reason. On the other hand, riding in the summer is NOT fun.
I'm in Boca Raton I ride every day to class and on the weekends to work. Hit me up if you ever want to ride!
