Well, after 3 years, I've finally got the Interceptor back to running order. Bought my gasket kits from Jamie last year, and some odds and ends.

Spent 4 hours to only set me back yet again!!!
Im very frustrated so forgive me if I spell something improperly.

I got all the carbs in...spent 2 hours checking float levels and needle passages.

Smashed the carbs back into the rock hard manifolds and slipped on the manifold clamps. Put fuel in and what do you know, it started spilling fuel :(

Pulled the air cleaner out and saw the middle fuel line connector (made out of plastic composite) was not in all the way.
So I managed to get half of it out to properly line up the fitting halves and just before I removed the other half of the
fitting, it snapped inside the carb body...at this point I was %$%##%.....

So, I've called around and it's of course discontinued.

I have to wait for my local junk yards to open tomorrow just to see if they have any complete carb assemblies laying around.

My question is, and please excuse my ignorance, but would JB weld hold up to fuel?
I'm thinking of welding the piece back on and of course bench testing it on the bike before take off, but can it JB be used on plastic and hold up under fuel/high heat?

If anyone has this piece laying around, I would be interested in buying it as well. I'm very distraught that I have to take the carbs off again and find a next to impossible piece :(

    thank you...email has been sent.

Anyone know if the JB weld will work though?? Just incase it's my last resort. I'm not one for hacking things together but I realize it comes with the nature
of vintage bikes....sometimes things won't look pretty haha.

It has been my experience that JB Weld will eventually give in to oil and/or gasoline and deteriorate. A plastic glue like Loctite Plastic Mender might work, it makes a very strong bond as it actually melds with the plastic being repaired rather than just sticking to it.

Well, I received a disappointing answer...he only makes the pipe for V45 and V65 motors....
I guess I'll be using the loctite glue.

    This is a real bummer

If you can't find the Loctite at Auto Zone, it is available at Lowes, Home Depot & Walmart.

Well, after contacting the company, it seems the Loctite will not work.
Even on the website, it says resistant to water and most shop fluids.

If the pipe was cracked, sure I'd just fill the small crack, but in this case, I'd be mending one of the ends back on.

Anyone have any other idea's on how I can fix this problem?
