I'm planning to add hard luggage so I don't have to take the car to the store and to make life easier during long getaways (currently I just use a backpack and tankbag). It seems most top case mounts bolt onto the passenger grab rails, but my VFR didn't come with any. I'll buy new if I have to, but that seems silly and a set pops up here every now and again.

Does anyone have some grab rails they'd be willing to part with?

I had to buy mine from a Honda parts dealer. Pretty spendy. But, there is a set of 'carbon fiber' grab handles on Ebay that I almost bought, and frankly would've cost me less... Good luck.

Managed to pick up an OEM set in good shape off ebay for an excellent $65 shipped.

Now, when mounting these handles, are there spacers that go between the handles and the frame that I need to find/make? Or do they just bolt in? Haven't been home much to check it out yet.

Looks live you've a newer VFR, scubalong. You're saying there are spacers, or just that it's not necessarily setup like the 5th gen?

You r bike and my are the same, all you need is the Hex srew with washer to install the Grap rail. I was just telling Michael the rail on the 5th gen is not the same as the 6th Gen.
As for you just open up the blank plastic piece and install the rails. Done
