No, but your ass will be talking..........swearing at you......your knees will be in line just behind as well as your wrist's.......I suggest a beverage or ten that you like when you get done. Gin and juice works for me.

If you havent done it before, its a loooonnnnngg day. I've done 600 and was toast at the end of it. Suggestion - Take advil before you start your ride. Then keep up the dose as scheduled per instructions. It will help on the stiff knees and wrists.

Hope you have a throttle rocker and some kind of throttle lock. That helps with grip fatigue.

If you don't use ear plugs - start. They make a HUGE difference in fatigue on long (and shorter) rides. Oh, and a big X2 to everything already said. Epsom salt bath while sipping a Scotch when your done will make a big difference on the next day.

Don't be too arrogant to give up, if you feel like you should. It is possible to fall asleep, while riding a bike.

Stay vigilant. Cagers will not cut you any slack and riders can become complacent, near the end of longer trips.

    Have fun.

VERY TRUE. Almost happened to me once, dozed off for a second at 130 kph, opened my eyes and was looking right at the guardrail. I got quite lucky that I could steer away from it in time, but it could have ended very differently.

Not a great idea. Ya might want to read a few real "Ironbutt" posts before busting your cherry on a 700 mile round tripper. Or Chicky's...

How far have you gone before? I can tell you firsthand the falling asleep is very true. I was picking a bike up in kansas riding back to michigan in november. I was dozing off so bad I finally had to. Stop at a rest stop and sleep in a chair for an hour or so. Lots of good advice here. I like the staying hydrated the best. Have fun and be careful. Remember the best laid out plan always seems to take longer than you thought.

    IMHO

Choice of undies is critical! Watch out for undies with thick seams as these will burn a line across your arse in a jiffy. I (and I'm scared to say it) generally ride commando with a pair of track pants under my Field Sheer riding pants so there are no seams. It's comfy and I've pulled off a ride from Dallas to Chicago in one day like this.

Some manner of cruise control is essential as well. Watch the fuel as you can easily run out if not paying attention.

Finally, have fun! When the fun stops, get a room.
