    Hey all,
New member here. I am currently riding an '07 Honda 919 that I really love. But my wife and I are wanting to do some 2-up touring and we are thinking about stepping up, to either a VFR1200 or a BMW K1300S. The practical side of me says stick with Honda reliability and affordable service, but damn the K1300S is one gorgeous machine. Sill don't love the way the newer VFR looks, but it is starting to grow on me the more I see it. Hoping to learn more about it and hopefully be swayed one way or the other.

Welcome to the site. Can;t offer you any advise on your question cause all I have had is what I ride now. If I were in need of a new bike, I will stick with the reliabilty of the Honda. Tack on 30% shop fees just because the bike says BMW.

Those points weigh heavy on my mind for sure. But it's hard to shell out that much cash for something that doesn't grab me visually. Wish the white or silver vfr was offered in the states, I like the look of both of those.

Having ridden both, there is no comparison - the VFR wins hands down. THe K1300S is a sexy machine, that's why I test rode one. But it is far more of a 'tourer' than the VFR, despite its appearance. It has cushy suspension, too many gadgets in my opinion, and just feels like a giant pig to me while riding. The VFR isn't a pure sport bike in comparison, but it's a much more agile and responsive bike in my opinion. My advice is: go with the VFR.

I've read that in a few of the comparison reviews.
