Took the bike out today, for the first tyme since install of rear shock.
Would have done so sooner but I had the usual RR connector melt down. :frown:
It's nice to have friends that owe you a favor, & I had just the right one that could fix my problem.

Anyway, out of the box with the spring pre-load setting on #-1 she is a bit too soft.
My Boss laughed at me when I sat on the bike, as she really squatted on me, worse then the original showa. Have to much on my plate right now, but as soon as I can fit it in my schedule, I will seek someone out with a spanner, & get then to click her up a setting or two. Hell I will probably just go & buy one, so I have it handy if I ever have to readjust her for added weight for Baggage or a Passenger!

At best you should change out the front springs and maybe slip in some cartridge emulators, doing wheel conversions and fork swaps gets you farther away from the original design and forces you to do a bunch of geometry changes and to me all that crap is not worth the time and money.

If you want a more modern bike just buy a newer bike, your money will be better spent that way.
Like I said for the front a single rate spring change at emulators at the most.
