Just bought an new 06 Black ABS last week. Picking it up in 3 weeks. Coming off an 03 GSXR 1000. First upgrades are the exhaust and a plate bracket to replace the rear "mud flap". Been riding for about 15 years. First road trip is to Deals Gap in May.

Welcome! I'll be heading up to Deal's Gap too in the middle of April. You'll definitely enjoy your bike there.

It won't have the motor of the GSXR1000, but at least you'll be able to ride the bike for more than 20 minutes. Congratulations. You won't regret it as I made the switch from CBRs some time ago and have never had a second thought.

You're gonna love it..... again, not gonna have the motor and it isn't light but its comfortable and handles really well. Much different sound than the I4. Add an exhaust and it will be great.
