I want to put side case racks on my '96 VFR750, but have the high-mount exhaust.

Anyone have a lot mount exhaust pipe and mounts available?
Is the muffler the same, just different pipe header to the muffler, and different mounts?

I have a two brothers full exhaust low mount. the 3 main pieces are the headers which merges into one, let's call this the collector. Then there is a pipe that connects the collector to the exhaust can. and finally the exhaust can or muffler.

I'm assuming the mid-pipe is the piece you're looking for and I think it is the only piece that changes.

However, I would sure like a high mount and if I recall correctly, 3rd and 4th gens are interchangeable...

3rd and 4th gen headers are interchangeable but the actual bolt on part, the mufflers are NOT interchangeable. The actual mounting is different on the 3rd and 4th gens. Maybe someone on this board would be willing to swap.

I'm looking to buy something outright, in case I want to put the high-mount exhaust back on later.

The bike runs great as it is, so, whatever I do, I'd like to use this muffler or, and equivalent low mount, so I can avoid having to re-jet, and mess with tuning in general.

I can see from the angles tip, that it likely won't look right mounted low, at a lower angle.

I have a TBR low mount slip-on that I'd trade for the hi-mount - LMK if you're interested.

Have a stock pipe on mine (97) but I too have thought about a high mount, we could work something out if you would want a stock can. Is yours a Staintune? Would obviously be willing to pay for it.

I bought a new Two Brothers low mount. I haven't had a chance to put it on yet, but when I do, I'll be selling the high-mount, which has a Two Brothers carbon fiber can.

I can see where you're coming from Jas.

With my Highmount I have clearance issues with my Givi rack.

I'll try to get the new one mounted soon, and will get back to you when the high-mount is available.
