When i pull in the clutch, only the first 15% of pulling actually does anything (friction zone), the other 85% of the clutch pull to the hand grip doesn't do anything.

Maybe it's just me, but i'd like it if the middle 50% of the clutch swing was the friction zone, and the outer 25% at the start, and at the end was where nothing happened. I don't see anything in the manual for adjusting this though, only how to take it apart inspect it, and re-assemble.

Would purchasing some adjustable levers help with this at all? At the very least bring the friction zone closer to the grips maybe?

It's a hydraulic clutch. It should engage as soon as you pull the lever, unless there is air in the lines or the lines are bulging. The reason for having adjustable levers, is so that your hand has the most comfortable curvature possible when operating the clutch. An adjustable lever allows you to adjust how close the clutch lever is to the handlebar and grip, when the clutch is engaged. So the clutch will still actuate as soon as you squeeze the lever, it just has less room to travel before hitting the handlebar/grip.
