Anyone else talking RACING?! <--- of the motorcycle type

That may raise the speculations some. Triple maybe? LOL At least we are not yet at the point where the umbrella girls are gender checked..

 

Is now on Netflix for anyone who hasn't seen it or wants to watch it again. If you have streaming you can watch it now. Highly recommended even if you don't like racing.

I was at Indy. The last few laps of Brno rocked. Lots to talk about in the last few weeks of this season.

I just watched Fastest. I liked it although it turned into a semi-biography about Rossi. I mean you have to spend some time on him, but there was nary a mention of any other rider except Lorenzo, and they seemed to purposely avoid Honda.
Also on Netflix is SENNA. A must watch.

The current motorcycles seem to put certain jockeys in their places.
Interesting how a different bike can make a star out of Pedrosa, and a "also ran" out of Rossi.

Injuries level the playing field. There is no changing that.

 

So, after Misano, any speculations as to the finish of this season?
I feel it may have been decided.

Well, Lorenzo and Danny are fighting for the most points. With a few races left, Stoner is back in the mix to maybe steal points from both of them. I have not done the math, but I think Stoner cannot take the championship at this point. He will certainly make it difficult for either of the other two to run away with it.

I hope Stoner spanks them both - of course unless Spies is a challenge

 

Stoner has had a few weeks to rest his weary bones.
Spies is on a cursed bike(or his crew really hate him).
Ped-robot is on a tear with Lorenzo recalling the glory days.

It should be a great weekend for racing(of the motorcycle type)!

 

It's going to be tough for Dani, he's got to run the table and get Jorge to to finish no better than 3rd in each race. Finish would be 357 to 354, Dani. Seems unlikely unless Jorge has an off and doesn't finish then it's wide open. I'd expect Lorenzo to play it safe and take a few seconds and thirds, championship done. Casey is the wildcard, along with Dovizioso and Crutchlow, maybe Spies.

 

Dovi and Crutchlow have been great fun to watch this season. I can't help but wonder what they would do on factory bikes. I sure hope they can make that happen soon. The CRT bikes are making improvements obviously, since those two are often in the top 5. I just don't see the CRT bikes being real contenders as long as they are stuck with factory leftovers and hand-me-downs.

 

Just a heads-up Drewl. Dovi and Crutchlow ride prototype factory Yamaha M1 satellite bikes and not CRT machines.

And yep I agree,the way it stands the CRT machines are forever doomed to be just grid-fillers. They're basically just moving chicanes for the prototype factory bikes. Kinda sad really.

So, by my figures, we are down to just 2 contenders for the title at this point.
