URGENT: Does Five Stars side rack fit both gens??

Hiya fellow VFR lovers! :drinkers:

I already asked that question in the "Gears & Accessories" section but thought that it might be placed even better here.
I've been desperately looking for a Five Stars side rack since a few weeks so that I can do my UK trip in September. Unfortunately they've been discontinued long ago, as you all know, and it's really difficult to find them.
Now there is an offer on ebay. It's the complete luggage system (top case rack and side racks - I don't need the top case rack, though) and it's almost new.
Now the seller doesn't know if it fits a 4th gen. The manual says "for VFR 750 F (RC36) from 1990"...

Does anyone know if this would fit my 4th gen??

Are there major differences between 3rd and 4th gen concerning mounting points for the racks?

With effort, the right tools and sometimes a bit of money, you can make anything fit. Hope you get a response from someone who has had both bikes apart and knows the sub-frames.

True, almost. You are just forgetting two very important things: a) TIME and b) SKILLS
The first I definitely don't have, the latter... not sure.

That's exactly what I was hoping for. Someone must know this!

 

OK, best I can determine, they are different. Are the hard mount points the same, doubtful. Could you make it work, possibly, but IT WILL take a little ingenuity. As I said in your original; post, you will probably HAVE to adapt something.
