Moment of silence for Frank Zappa ?
Hell, no !! Make some noise !

Today is the birthday of one of America's most creative and original musical composers, Frank Zappa !!!

Wiki it, kids, who never listened to "The Mothers of Invention" or download something today.

Imagine how big a pain in the ass to the status quo he would have been as an old man. That would have been great. He would be having a field day right about now.

Also, this is the anniversary of Elvis Presley's death, for those that believe he's really dead.

If we stay out of the Dangerous Kitchen, dont hang out with Bobby Brown, and watch out for Studebaker Hawk, maybe we can avoid weasels ripping our flesh.

I saw Frank and the Mother's live a half dozen times, watched and listened in awe at the remarkable musicians he pulled together in that band, laughed at the truly rude and rambunctious antics on the stage, and will always remember the impressions he left on anyone who was paying attention. F*ck the establishment lads and lassies, do what ya wanna do and get on with your life as you wish. RIP man, and Happy Birthday.

Way cool. Back in the 80's a friend and I went to go see Zappa perform 'Thing-Fish' at a little the club in Hollywood. Couldn't have been more entertained! They really don't make musicians like him any more.
