Actually, according to Cundalini's original rules. Anyone remember that guy? If the challenge went un met in three days, the poster of that challenge was to post a new one. That part of the game seems to have changed a bit and no one seems to mind. I can't wait till I get home from this prolonged trip so I can indulge.

Ok, so new mark. Your bike next to a landmark attraction in your city. Water tower, bridge, courthouse, etc. your choice, sorry I haven't been checking the thread and forgot about the three day limit

Here is my entry. It's a covered bridge that was recently redone. If this is acceptable, then the next challenge is your bike with the flag from your country that is displayed publicly. NOT your kids holding up a flag behind your bike and taking a picture. Get out and ride. Find a flag that is flying, and snap. Good luck.

Gotcha covered on both fronts. Wheatons here in Kalispell since 1918.

If this is a winner we'll kind of stay on the same theme and go for public art- statues, murals, etc.

That bridge is in the East Hamptons? Is it worth going for a long ride out there? I took 25 up the north end of LI a few weeks ago and was hugely disappointed by the traffic and stoplights.

The bridge is in East Hampton, Connecticut. Where is LI? Not sure where it is. Anyway, the bridge is just that, a bridge. Pretty un-exciting.

Alright. Lets see if we can kick start this thread. Seems like its battery is a bit low and it needs re-charging

This is the shot. I think it applies to the last challenge:

    IMGP1327.jpg

The chainsaw carving in the back ground is this:

    IMGP1328.jpg

The plaque attached reads like this:

    IMGP1329.jpg

If that was not good enough, then there is always this:

    IMGP1330.jpg

That poor bear had his nackers cut off by some sadistic dude with a chainsaw.

These are two of many carvings in the central park of Hope BC. All done by the same artist using a chainsaw.

I worked with Doug Lewis. Quite the man. His dog was just great. What had happened this night was Doug and Chip were sent to search the local forrest for a perp. I don't remember what the crime was, but it was a violent one. Doug and Chip were on this bad guy's trail through the forrest. Normally, when a handler and his dog go out, a regular member accompanies the team and watches what is going on around. The handler is focussed on reading what the dog is doing. But Doug was a bit of an impatient guy. It was not un-common for him not to await his back-up member and go out on the track just with his dog.

The bad guy here circled around and came up behind Doug and Chip. Doug was stabbed in the chest and Chip attacked the bad guy. Bad guy was able to kill the dog with the same knife he stabbed Doug with. He then fled.

Doug survived and after a fairly long stay in the hospital and rehab, her returned to handling a dog. Last I heard, he was over on Vancouver Island. He could be retired now. Likely is. He was senior to me and I would have "Maxed Out" on my service this coming January. Bad guy was subsequently caught tried and went to jail. I am sure out fucking Justice System applied the appropriate jail term. Probably a year and 2 years probation. Not to possess a knife unless attacking a steak.

Do we get extra points for being hand cuffed in the back seat of police car?
