Recieved a Phone call from my mother today, She Tells me my Aunt was involved in a motorcycle accident, & I need to call her as she was hurt!

So I called Her & found out my 60+ yr. old Aunt bought a Bike & got her learners permit last month & she didn't tell me, WTF!
She was turning into her driveway, & instead of grabbing the front brake, she grabbed the clutch, & down she went! ?? Anyways she ended up breaking her wrist & spraining an ankle!

She is Mad that she hit her head hard enough that she has to buy a new Helmet, & that her riding season is so quickly over with!
She said that once my uncle gets over his shock, & the up comming MAD, They will go over the bike & see what needs fixing so she can have it ready to go riding next year!

A new meaning to biker broad. Good on her and a speedy recovery. Us old fuggers refuse to accept our age gracefully at times.

Never let others tell you what you can or can't do. Great to see another person committed to "growing old disgracefully".

    Way to go Aunty :)

Her Husband, & 3 of 5 Children Ride, & I live almost 500 miles away.
She says, she bought a Honda CB400.
It took me by surprise, that she would decide to learn how to ride, after all these years of just being a Passenger.
But I am Proud that she is doing it, & is committed even after hurting herself!

RESPECT! to your aunt not only for taking up riding at her age but for being determined to carry on riding. My wife is 64 and still riding a CBF1000FA to/from work and a Hornet 600 for leisure. Mind you she has no choice as neither of us have car licences :)
