My girlfriend and I went to Bonaire last week for an incredible week of diving. She had been there in the past, but this was my first time. This was my first time diving in the ocean since being certified for my OW course back in June of this year. Not only that, but it was also my first time ever leaving the US. I had a brilliant time. We went to Buddy Dive in Bonaire. What a beautiful country, from north to south. I highly recommend it for anyone who has not been!

These are just a few of the vids I took. I apologize for any shaky video. Again, this was my first time ever in the ocean diving, so I am very new to the whole underwater world with currents and such. But I LOVE it and am officially addicted... damn.

I'm using a GoPro Hero2 HD with the GoPro Dive housing, red filter, and shot in 720 HD with 60 FPS.

BEST in my opinion. We went to the national park on the north end of the island for a cookout. The site is known as Boca Slagbaai. Great little bar with bar food, pink flamingos abound, and so much more. BEAUTIFUL location. Anyway, long story short... This was my last dive of the day. We hopped out into the water and headed north into the current. The current changed and REALLY started to suck us off of the reef. We kept our calm and were able to stay close. I saw this crazy cloud of bait fish.. known as a "bait ball" I was told. I swam toward it and hovered, taking video. The bait fish began to lift as Tarpon started to swim through. What an incredible sight - I can't believe what I saw and was able to record on video. It was such a fun, entertaining and incredible time. The video is here:

Awesome! Ive been diving in Thailand and Malaysia only..But in Malaysia it was an amazing experience. It was at a place called sipadan/kapalai resort out in the middle of the ocean..For about $1000 USD I got an awesome room - im talking beautiful, all food, non alcoholic drinks, 3 boat dives per day, and unlimited house reef dives - for a week!...Plus out there in SE asia they got people who carry your stuff on and off the boat and fill your tanks and get you setup for whenever you want to dive next.

Wish I could upload my dvd they made..They have 2 people filming 2 different dives that youre on and edit it into a sweet 15 minute or so video with music and clips of the whole group..

I had 2 most favorite things..

    1 were 2 giant lobsters under a reef shelf..amazing!

and the other was an Eel about 5 feet long lol

These are just a few of the photos I took. We dove: Buddy Reef, Windsock, Hilma Hooker, Boca Slagbaai, Sharon's Serenity, Keepsake, Carl's Hill, etc.

Photos were taken with my GoPro Hero2 HD, GoPro Dive Housing, $14 red filter (I am purchasing the Backscatter one), SeaLife mount, Intova Imini; Other photos with a SeaLife DC600 - handheld. Most of these are the underwater ones - above water to come later.

You're welcome! I am as well! I shoot with a Nikon D2x and some random glass on land. The camera was what, $5000 when it was new? The least expensive housing for JUST the camera that I've found is $3000-$6000. That's insane....

Figure, for the few hundred I spent on my GoPro setup, I am SUPER happy!
