    Hello,

My name is Aaron. I have been lurking here for a while since I got my 85 VF500f and decided to participate.

I have been around many forums...(just google "phlebmaster" to see) and have always had projects of one type or another. This new project however is something special. I have been looking forward to purchasing a motorcycle for many years, but made the decision to wait for my daughters to graduate high school....well, they finally did.... so I went and took the Team Oregon course and got my endorsement in June of 2011. Since then I have repaired and Cafe'd out a 1976 Kawasaki KZ400 D3 with the engine code of K4E059798. I got her on a good deal from a friend who did not have the time to ride her so she sat for about a year. She only had about 20,000 miles and was relatively clean. I pulled the tank, carbs, cables, and cleaned them up the best I could. After a new battery and some fresh fuel she started right up as she did before being parked. My first ride was incredible! I was hooked!

Shortly after finishing my first bike, I traded her for this amazing little beast! She is a 1985 VF500f Interceptor, and my first "sporty" bike. I love the sound of the engine between 8-10,000 RPMs and the growl of the Kerker exhaust at idle. I will start a project thread here soon, and place updates of my progress as I learn from this machine. I already have an 84 complete parts bike with a rebuilt engine (with receipts) to put into my bike....so I hope to contribute as much as I learn from this forum.

I always make videos of my projects, if you want to see some of my past projects you can find them on youtube: phlebmaster - YouTube

I am also an avid home-brewer and love to make unique beers, ciders, etc...

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope to contribute as I learn from everyone here.

    Here is my bike....

In another vein, you might be needing some new rubber.
