Myself and 2 other friends are heading off tomorrow for a 4 day trip around Lake Michigan (starting from the Chicago area) and I am pretty excited. Gonna be the first test of my 2000 Yellow VFR which I have owned about a month now  Unfortunately the weather is going to be really crappy tomorrow...looking like rain ALL day....but we gotta make it to Traverse City, MI. From there we cross the Mackinac Bridge and explore most of the U.P., until we finally settle for the night in Escanaba, MI. Saturday we go from Escanaba to Sturgeon bay and either stay there or a bit south of Green Bay and Sunday home. Weather after tomorrow looks perfect....we just have to suffer through tomorrow first, lol.

I will take lots of pics and here's hoping my VFR stays solid as a rock!

I did that twice starting from Detroit side. The east side is boring with lots of potato farms. The last time there, many many moons ago, Two of went and we found a bar in Caseville to get shit faced. Then we took of on the bikes heading down the western side at night. I found out what "Black Ice" was that night. Didn't wreck just slid on some in a corner and about shit myself. So be careful of the REAL "Black Ice". Not the winter BS that people think it is as defined by people that don't know what it is. No it's not ice at all.

Enjoy and have a good trip. It's neat up around the dunes and Traverse City and Mackinaw City area.
