1986 VFR 500 has 2 vacuum ports on the fuel pet-cock, I'm hooked up to the bottom port and was running well after I cleaned it. NOW no fuel running from the pet-cock to the carbs. Do both the vacuum ports have to be hooked up to vacuum? If so, where is the upper port hooked up to? Thanxs

One looks like a port and is not, the top one is the one you want to hook up to.

Thank you, will try that one. Am I mistaken that the top one is for the main fuel and the bottom port is for the reserve fuel? I started the bike last night and cranked right over but shut off a minute later real quick. I removed the tank and when I remove the fuel line I noticed no fuel in the line leading to the carbs at all. Is there a cleaner or solvent to use that will help the diaphram work easier or better?
