Howdy! New to VFRs, not new to bikes - this will be # 37 for me I think. I own a moto shop in San Luis Obispo, CA and have wanted a VFR for a few years... found one a few nights ago! Going to pick it up tomorrow.

Approx 18k miles, solo rear cowl, new battery, Two Bros Stash Pipes... and a blown up head LOL. Ill be replacing the front head on it and hopefully have it going soon!

    Glad to be here.

    Matt

A blown up head??? Wow, I've never heard of a real failure like that on a 6th Gen. It sounds like you know what you're doing, so I'm sure it's in good hands. Congratulations and welcome to forum.

Well, the info from the seller:

"According to my dealership, it needs a new Front Cylinder Head.

Apparently, two of the spark plugs either fell out or broke off ruining the cylinder head"

Thats about all I know, but at the price I got it for.... no questions were needed lol!

Well it sure looks like a nice ride! Let's hope the dealer was full of sh%$# and it is something simple. Hopefully the issue doesn't extend to piston damage and all the fun that comes with that scenario.

    Keep us posted....

Cool! I sent a few PMs out to members I saw in the local area saying hi and letting them know about the shop. We also have a local riding forum where we do weekly rides, track day events, etc - would love to have some of you locals over there! SloRiders.com • Index page
