    Hi guys,

I searched online and note from multiple sources that the VF 750F had 120/80-16 front and 130/80-18 rear tires.

However, my bike is a VF 750R (assume 83~85) and the rear tire on the bike currently is 140/80-18.

Assuming the main difference between a 750F and 750R is the full fairing, can I assume that the tire sizes are similar?

Since my goal is a full restoration, I should replace the back tire with 130/80-18, yes?

Thanks in advance for your comments/suggestions.

As far as I know your are correct. But then again I didn't know there was a VF750R model. Seems like the only place in the world was Japan (pac rim?). If your rear wheel width is 3" width, then I'd say yes for sure that the rear tire is a 130 width stock. I believe the 140, as stated by manufacture would need a tad wider rim for optimum fit. Even though a 140 can/will fit on a 3" rim with no problem. The VF1000's had a 140/17 on a 3.5" rim. That's why I believe the 130 is a factory size for the 3" rim.

I'd still love to get one of those fairing that your bike has. Any laying around over there?

I thought I replied to this but it's not showing up. Anyway, I'll keep a look out for another set. I'm always lurking on the Chinese motorcycle boards looking for interesting bikes / parts...
