1983 VF750F Luggage Rack

I have an 83 VF750F and I would like to put a luggage rack on it for some sport touring. I have been looking online and on forums and cannot find a luggage rack that I think would work for it. Does anyone know of anyplace I could get something that is made for the bike? Or would I be better off buying some bar stock and putting one together myself?

You can build one yourself & there are Pictures of several designs here on the forum, just have to do an advance search, & do a google search, which will help find info here as well.

pretty sure there is one on ebay about a month ago. Just be prepared to pay an insane price it was at least $300

 

I do not know if it will help, but there is a Rentec rack which should fit VFR750 f-v models listed at the moment on the UK Ebay - with bids currently at £33.00 but I guess postage to the USA will add a lot to the price.

Good luck. They are like hens teeth. I sold the one I had a year ago. Very very few were ever sold.

 

I think I'll end up just crafting something out of bar stock... I think it will be the quickest, easiest, and cheapest way to go at this point. Thanks for the info!
