My latest VFR was safely delivered by a trucking line specializing in motorcycle delivery yesterday. I've been looking for another 90-93 VFR for 2+ years. Finally a bit over a week ago a friend in the Portland, OR area found a 1 owner 91 on his local Craigslist. He sent me the link, I drooled over the photos and called her only owner...and ran up my phone bill!

Then called my friend who was good enough to ride @ 45 minutes to inspect the bike. He then called me to say the bike was so close to showroom new as to make no difference. After that he gave the fellow a check and picked the bike up to ride to his place the next night; by then a check from me was in the mail to him.

I managed to ride my "new" VFR twice today and despite needing bar risers and new hi-po Bridgestones to replace the old Michelin M89s.....the bike is simply FUNtastic!!! With the suspension improvements, steel brake and clutch lines she is even better than my '92 VFR was. The '92 VFR was my all time favorite Honda and in the top 4 of the 84.5 bikes I've owned + 1 Vespa.
Amoung the bikes was a '98 VFR, '05 and '06, but everything about the '92 really turned my crank far more than the others.

After all, one can never have enough bikes, well unless your last name is Barber and you have an astonishing Musuem! DFO

You tell the story with such enthusiasm that it is almost believable but you know what they say.....Without a pic it didn't happen LOL!

Congrats on this "alleged" new toy.

Thanks! My friend found me a definate KEEPER!! The bike is a pleasure to look at from any angle, and even more so to RIDE!!! Those gear driven cams do make beautiful music. Her original owner was even more...uhh...fanatic about taking proper care of a bike than I am. Curiously he was selling her after all these years because he now has a V-rod! DFO

Just over 17,000; I PAID a premium for her...considerably more than I did for my '92 back in 2003! After 2 years of searching, worth every penny as she is pretty much showroom new both visually and mechanically. When I stop breathing my wife can sell her! Until then she's mine to enjoy and take care of!!!

Until I became the owner of 2 Pearl White cars, a '93 like yours would have been my preference! Now the red is gr8........DFO

    91 vfr

Somehow I suspect my RED VFR will easily blow the doors off my Pearl White Prius! 27july12 home1.jpg

Also, she's almost a perfect match to my red Miata which isn't real fast....unless she is carving curves! Then I literally can leave bikes behind, as I did down in SE KY!! DFO

Are DFO your initials, or do they stand for something?

They are my initials; years ago when I did my ID work on paper I would sign my Design sketches that way. Just carried over onto computer. Same way with avatar: was my last Corvette and so I started using that photo I took of my C5 on some naval Forums (a corvette is also a type of warship).....DFO
